Dog Walking & Drop in Visits
We provide your dog with a walk and playtime while you are at work or enjoying a day out. A break and some exercise can ward off boredom and anxiety from your pup being alone for long periods of time. Drop in visits (10-15 minutes) offer your pets a potty break and playtime.
Dog Walking Services Include:
- replenish water
- feed on request
- pick up waste as it happens
- text or email update as requested
- belly rubs and cuddles are always complimentary!
Rates:
- 30 minutes – $30
- 45 minutes – $40
- 60 minutes – $50
- drop in visits – $20
- no additional charge for up to 2 pets. $5 per pet there after
Dog Sitting
Dogs are happier and experience less stress when they stay in their own home and remain on a similar exercise and feeding schedule. You can choose three or four visits daily for your dog. During each visit we will make sure your pup is walked/exercised, has playtime and lots of affection.
Good option for multi-pet families. No additional charges for up to 3 pets.

- Feed on regular schedule
- Administer medications if needed
- Text/email updates as requested
- Pick up waste as it happens
- Bring in mail/newspapers
- Adjust lights and blinds
Rates:
- 3 visits daily – $120
- 4 visits daily – $150
- Extra visits can be added for an additional fee
Cat Sitting
Cats benefit from staying at home. No travel trauma for you or your pet. Stay on their usual schedule and have less exposure to illness. We will make sure your kitty gets lots of affection and playtime while you are away.
Cat Sitting Service Include:
- Make sure clean, fresh water is always available.
- Feed on regular schedule
- Scoop and replenish litter daily
- Administer medications if needed
- Text/email updates as requested
- Bring in mail/newspapers
- Adjust lights and blinds
Rates:
- 1 visit daily- $25
- 2 visits daily – $50
Boarding
I offer staycation for one dog (two is same family) at a time. My home is their home while they visit. They are free to roam in the house, and I do not use crates unless their owner requests it. I make sure they are well exercised and remain on a schedule that they are used to.
I have 2 pups of my own so for safety reasons dogs will be separated by gates when I am not home

Pricing is per night.

We have been boarding our dog Barkley with heather for the past 7 years. We wanted him to be in a home environment while we were out of town. He settled in very quickly at barkies and has fun playing with her 2 dogs.It makes the world of difference knowing Barkley is so well looked after when we're not around.

After using many neighborhood dog walkers, and being let down many times, we finally found Heather at Barkies. What a relief it is not to worry about my fur babies when I am spending long days at work. She is reliable, trustworthy and my dogs LOVE her!! She sends a pupdate after each visit. Jack and Grace always look so engaged and happy. We have been using Barkies for over 3 years now, and I do not have one complaint. An absolute gem 🙂
Heather at Barkies has been a life saver for my pup, Georgie. When we were out of town we left him in a boarding facility, and he always came home depressed and anxious. Heather was recommended to us by a friend and we could not be more grateful. Georgie now comes home tired and happy!! He stays on schedule for eating and walks. An added bonus is he has heathers two dogs to play with. And if the photos I receive daily show how much fun they have together. A wonderful service I wish I had known about years ago!
