Yes, before service you need to review and sign a contract and a pet information sheet. We will also need proof of your pet’s vaccinations being up to date. Service cannot commence until all necessary paperwork is complete.

A meet and greet is the time we take to meet with you and your pet(s). You can see how we interact with your fur babies, and make sure we are a good fit. We go over paperwork, and details of you and your pets needs. It takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.

No, the initial meet and greet is free of charge! Subsequent meetings are charged at $25 per half hour.

Yes, we need one copy of each key needed to gain access to your home. Keys are marked with your pets name only and stored in a secure location when not in use. Key must be tested at meet and greet.

Yes, we charge an additional $5 per visit on holidays.

Daily dog walks require 24-hour notice.

Credit card refunds are subject to a 10% processing fee.
Holidays reservations are non-refundable.
Please be considerate of our time when cancelling. We know emergencies come up and sometimes a last minute phone call may be necessary.
Please note a last minute cancellation may require a 50% non-refundable deposit for future visits.

We require a dog wear a well-fitted collar with ID attached and have a leash. We suggest a martingale collar or harness for safety, since there is less chance of them backing out of those should they get spooked. A slip leash, Easy Walk Harness or Freedom Harness are suggested for dogs with less perfect leash manners!

We request your pet be up to date on veterinary recommended vaccinations. 

No! We administer pills and give insulin shots free of charge.

Barkies regular business hours are Monday – Friday, 8am – 6pm.

Earlier, later and weekend visits may be available on request. 

Barkies is closed for business two weeks in April and two weeks in September annually.

Price remains the same for up to 3 pets. Then additional charges may be incurred.
